I am a pastor/staff member. How do I enter a free ad?
Answer
|
| First, thank you for your ministry. We pray God blesses you and your work mightily.
The challenge is computers are blind. The church database is stored seperately from the Christians database so you get extra features when you login as a pastor/staff member.
The good news is the solution is easy. When you go back to the login, simply register as a Christian also. You can normally use the same login and password. Then you are good to go!
Login as a pastor/staff member when you want to enter worship times, calendar events or print bulletin information.
Login as a Christian when you want to place a free ad. |
|
| |
Why does my login not work in a different area of the site?
Answer
|
| Techy reasons are boring, so suffice it to say you need a login for each area you want to enter.
For instance, if you are registered as a pastor or staff member, you have a login that will take you to the church editing page.
If you register as a Christian or a pre-Christian, you are taken to the screen that lets you add and edit free listings.
If you register as a Paid Advertiser, you are taken to a page that let's you add, edit or renew your paid ads.
To make life simple, you can usually register as all three using the same user name and password. |

Why am I asked to list my church?
Answer
|
| It gives your pastor the information you enter, so they can help you connect with resources.
It gives a level of accountability for a Christian network when we don´t know everyone.
We also believe that your faith is enhanced by regular attendance. (Heb 10:25)

I added my church, why doesn´t it show?
Answer
|
| If you added your church, but didn´t continue to add a pastor or staff member, the site recognizes that churches don´t add data, people do.
There is an easy solution! Just reenter your church data and you are taken to a screen to add a pastor/staff member. Be sure to add at least one and your church ad will automatically appear with the others! |
|
| |
What if my church is not in your list?
Answer
|
| No problem. Let your pastor know you would like to place an ad and ask the pastor to sign up! It´s free to them and the church gets free advertising! |
|
| |
I listed something, why doesn´t it show?
Answer
|
| First check to see that it has been correctly entered. You can check all your listings if you login and see if the add is properly in our data base.
If you recently placed the listing, the pastor of the church you listed was notified and at their sole discretion, it may be hidden. Contact your pastor to see if this is the case. Perhaps they had some concern for you or a clarifying question you could address.
As a protection to the Body of Christ, we also reserve the right to remove any ads we deem questionable. After you have contacted your pastor, feel free to contact us if you feel we have removed your listing in error.
If your listing has been here for more than 30 days, it may have been automatically deleted if you forgot to renew it. Just list it again, and you will be back in business.

What it means to be a Christian
Answer
|
| Claim Jesus Christ as your Savior (Forgiver) and Lord (Leader), depending on Him alone for your salvation (the only way to a right relationship with a perfect God).
Christians believe in the Good News of God as defined in the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible.
With God´s strength and help, Christians make every effort to live a life that honors the sacrifice of Jesus, remembering we are His servants and friends.

What if I see an ad or church listed I don´t believe is Christian?
Answer
|
| Mark 9:39&40 reminds us that those who claim to be with us and experience the miracles of Jesus cannot in the next breath put us down. Therefore, we error on the side of including everyone.
We acknowledge that there are many variations of beliefs across the Christian community. A sign of Christian maturity is to not take offense. We will make every effort to error on the side of including the whole Universal Church (Romans 14:4) and allow God to keep perfect score.
However, in an effort to protect the Body of Christ, we will remove any church listed on the testimony of 3 witnesses (Deut. 19:15.) Member pastors may contact us and give their reasons for requesting removal after they have been in dialogue with the church leader in question.
Three different pastor's requests are required to have any church removed.

We are a para-church organization, where do we fit in?
Answer
|
| Thank you for your ministry! It is our hope that you (and the people you refer) will choose to enter the site through your church. You simply log in as a Christian and enter the free ads you want. hat allows people in the organization not to have to choose between their affiliation with your group and their church home when they list a free advertisement. It also reduces the administration time for you since you won´t have to monitor member ads associated with your group. We encourage you to go through your church home to list calendar dates. We will also work out a deal for your group to get a paid ad on the site. Contact us with the information about your group and we will see what we can do! |

What is the symbolism of the logo?
Answer
|
| The cross represents Jesus. Christ is always central in everything we do of great value. Without His sacrifice, we would not be Christians and there would be no need for Christian networking. An empty cross because we celebrate the joy of his resurrection.
The blue pool of water beneath the cross represents our baptism and the way we enter into faith and into the larger Body of Christ, the Church.
Jesus called us to be fishers of men, but also to care for each other first, starting with "the household of faith." Everything netted always starts with Jesus and belongs to him. The rainbow colors represent God's vow to remember the promises made to us.
The dolphin represents our joy when we live in Christ. "The joy of the Lord is our strength." and Jesus said that we would do even greater things because he returned to the Father. This is a symbol of how God lifts us up beyond our most joyous expectations.

Why the name ChristProfits.net?
Answer
|
| This site was designed to help Christians benefit each other in their everyday business dealings so that their spending would not just randomly be distributed throughout the economy, but be funneled back into the larger Body of Christ, the Church.
Every time we do business someone profits whether it be the vendor, the store owner, the person who leased the store owner the building,,. Supporting Christians often means their giving to the mission and ministry of God's Church increases. So, by doing business with other Christians we not only profit from dealing with people of shared values, but Christ's mission and ministry on earth profits from every transaction.
When the Christian community profits – ChristProfits. |
